Artignosc, a paradise for nautical activities and hiking
You can’t resist when you reach Artignosc, you will feel the call of nature very close, make your heartbeat! You will have the impression of hearing the Verdon itself inviting you for a hike. You’ll discover its gorges aboard a canoe or a kayak.
If you are looking to hike, you will be served. Indeed, Artignosc is located on the GR99, which links Quinson to Baudinard of Verdon for a magical day-long stage. There is a possibility of joining one of the two villages in end of the very beautiful hike through the nature of Verdon. In a full day, you can even make a superb loop between Baudinard and Artignosc. For example, you will take GR99 on the way there, and you will return by the path to the Verdon.
Le chemin de l’eau (the water path)
The ” Water Path ” in addition, is an easy, family-friendly hike that can take the form of a very pleasant loop starting from Artignosc. In about an hour and a half, you will cross the village and find yourself surrounded by nature. Along the well-marked path, you will find illustrated panels. Where to stay in Artignosc?
The only hotel in Artignosc-sur-Verdon, located a stone’s throw from the castle and the church, the charming Auberge d´Artignosc will welcome you right in the center of the village. Four bedrooms, tranquility, and a stay in a true medieval atmosphere, that’s what you’ll find at the hostel. The hotel restaurant is worth a visit.
Camping in Artignosc
There are also two campsites located at the gates of the village. The first, L’Éouvière Verte is located by the lake, on an area of 14 hectares of Provencal vegetation, and offers calm, tranquility and a relaxed lifestyle. It is open during the summer from June 15 to September 15.
The proximity to the beach and the nautical base, barely a hundred meters away, will allow you to practice the many activities that the lake offers whenever you want! Good news, the campsite is accessible to people with reduced mobility and it has its own grocery store on-site!
L’Avelanède is on the other side of the village. A plus for off-season travelers, it is open longer, from April to the end of October. It has a large heated swimming pool from mid-May , and can be said to be a family-oriented campsite despite the large natural domain that surrounds it.
